The Courage to Let Go

There comes a moment when we realise that growth isn't always about holding on more tightly. Sometimes, it begins with letting go.
For a long time, I believed that every difficult experience had to come with an explanation. If I thought hard enough, reflected deeply enough or searched long enough, I would eventually find the answer that made everything make sense.
But life has been teaching me something different.
Sometimes an experience is simply information.
Information about what nourishes us and what depletes us. About the people, places and patterns that allow us to flourish - and those that quietly ask us to abandon ourselves in order to belong.
That clarity can be uncomfortable. It often asks us to release what we had hoped would work. Yet it also reveals something precious: our non-negotiables.
The older I become, the more I realise that these non-negotiables are not limitations. They are wisdom earned through experience. They remind us that we can keep our dreams while letting go of the struggle to force life into a shape that no longer fits.
Perhaps that is the real courage.
Not giving up on what matters most, but giving up everything that asks us to become less than ourselves in order to achieve it.
So today, I leave you with a simple question:
What are you ready to let go of - not because you have given up on your dreams, but because you have finally chosen yourself?
If this reflection resonates with you and you find yourself at a crossroads, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you for part of your journey. Sometimes clarity begins with a single conversation.
